SGI Greens Summer Picnic (August 10, 2024)

SGI Greens members, friends and guests will be enjoying our traditional Summer Picnic in Centennial Park (on Wallace Drive in Saanichton), August 10, 12:30 – 4:00 pm.

Meet and catch up with other SGI Greens and friends! We will have lots of yummy things to eat and drink, but please remember to bring your own plate, travel cup and cutlery. It is always a great event.

Saanich Fall Fair (September 2-4, 2023)

The 155th Saanich Fall Fair is coming on Labour Day weekend and as always, Elizabeth May and the SGI team will be there. Hosted by the North and South Saanich Agricultural Society, this year’s fall fair theme is “Jammin’ at the Fair” featuring preserved foods.

We are seeking volunteers to assist us at our booth in a variety of ways, including setup, cleanup, and helping pass on our Green message to the fairgoers over the three days. There are various opportunities to help that will suit your time and interests, and they are all fun!

Community Meetings in January 2023

Saanich-Gulf Islands Member of Parliament Elizabeth May will host several non-partisan community meetings in January, as follows. These meetings are open to everyone and are an excellent opportunity to hear from Elizabeth about her work in Ottawa and have an opportunity to discuss issues of interest to you. Registration is not required.

Masks are optional, and if you are feeling unwell we ask that you stay home and keep our community safe.
