Good Sunday Morning! And where did July go?

I do pay attention to feedback and notes I get in response to Sunday letters. One great Green volunteer and friend, Shelagh Levey, told me my last letter was way too long, which put me in mind of the great line, “If I had had more time, I could have written a shorter letter,” a quote attributed to many a wit, but most likely Blaise Pascal or Cicero were the originators. Key Deadlines Coming Up (July 20, 2025)

And Good Sunday morning!

In some very local news, we had three very welcome reversals in government decisions. One for a very sick little girl, one for a very old maple, and another for the Giant Sequoia and Morioka Cherry trees in Victoria’s Centennial Square. From Laws And Regulations To Discretion (July 13, 2025)

Good Sunday Morning on this July 13th. Summer is flying by in a haze of Pride Parades, Canada Day flag-waving and Calgary Stampede Ya-HOO, not to mention the hundreds of bowls of ice cream and strawberries I helped serve up after Victoria Pride last weekend at the Saanich Strawberry festival! (By the way, kudos to Saanich for hugely reducing plastic waste and garbage, switching to metal bowls and compostable spoons, as well as in offering non-dairy ice cream!) Victoria Pride Parade on Sunday, July 6, 2025

Elizabeth May and Greens marched in the Victoria Pride Parade on Sunday, July 6th, to show our support for the vibrant 2SLGBTQIA+ community!

 

The Green Party of Canada was founded on principles of social justice, and respect for diversity, and they fight for your rights in Parliament. The Green Party of Canada proudly celebrates the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in Victoria on this day, and every day.
