We are in re-runs of “Father Knows Best.” (June 29, 2025)

Good Sunday Morning!

I am in Toronto for the big Pride Parade, marching with our Ontario Green cousins and many of the federal Green candidates. We always have an awesome Brazilian Salsa band with the Green contingent at Toronto Pride as Mike Schreiner and I dance down the street. Being able to do that, being able to travel to Sidney and celebrate with volunteers in our big volunteer appreciation event on Friday night in Sidney and get back to Toronto and feel able to do so and remain strong and healthy brings me to other reflection this June 29th. The Big Beautiful Bulldozer Bill, C-5 (June 22, 2025)

Good Sunday Morning . . . the day after our Solstice and Indigenous Peoples Day.

The last week has been one of fending off the blows of what felt like Shakespearean tragedy – dodging the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune. Although really, technology has advanced. It felt less like old fashioned slings and arrows and more like being run over by a bulldozer. I am still pulling myself up from the deep ruts created as it ran me down, the track marks down the backs of those of us who stood against bill C-5.
